Falling Forward | Tumi & Me Prep while waiting on MRI
Been a little quiet lately, but I’m still here. Just recovering. Waiting on my MRI appointment, which will determine what will happen next. But in the meantime, I’ve just been applying and applying. I feel great though, I just need the occasional coffee booster more than usual.
Luckily, it is paying off. Tumi & Me the proof of concept short is a quarterfinalist for The Script Fund, which would provide us a $1000 grant. Fingers crossed. But again, you know me, I have never been one to sit idly and hope things happen for me. So, I am proud to announce that the crowdfunding campaign FINALLY has a launch date. It is coming out tomorrow on September 4th after much back and forth.
Yay to being a quarter finalist!
There are some very cool prizes, but also if you want to cut out the fees and middle man, you can always just donate directly to our team and still get the same prizes, just let me know what speaks to you. My stop motion animator and friend, Kellie, has just sent over some amazing stop motion behind the scenes videos of her testing out claymation Tumi. So much work, but it is already looking pretty cool.
The beginnings of claymation Tumi
I am really excited for the next step. I can’t wait to finish this thing. My longtime composer and friend, Nick Longoria just sent over samples of the soundtrack. Tomorrow, I am recording the voiceover for Tumi.
All of this is happening purely because of my long term relationships with all of these amazing creatives and their belief in the project, but faith only goes so far. My friends need to be able to make a living and pay for the resources needed in order to make it happen. Please be a part of this journey and story and donate tomorrow! The more we can make the initial launch successful, the more the crowdfunding community logarithms will work for us.
